Commercial Vehicle Driver Medicals are for drivers of trucks, public passenger vehicles (buses), and vehicles carrying dangerous goods. This may be referred to as a Fitness to Drive, TruckSafe or Dangerous Goods Driver Medical.
Assessing Fitness to Drive is a joint publication by Austroads and the National Transport Commision (NTC) Australia, detailing medical standards for driver licensing purposes. Assessments are conducted following the national standard available from Austroads.
