The IOH professional team includes doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, rehabilitation counsellors, occupational therapists, psychologists, WHS professionals, risk management consultants, occupational hygienists, trainers and job placement officers – all supported by our experienced administrative staff.
Our diverse team allows us to approach clients’ needs with a multidisciplinary approach, providing the different perspectives, ideas and knowledge to shape our solutions. IOH strive to provide the highest quality services to our clients.
Regardless of whether we are focusing on injury management of a workplace injury or achieving a functional goal for an individual, we understand our clients are unique, and our solutions are therefore person-centric with our team giving the flexibility for IOH to engage staff with the optimum expertise.

Meet some of our professionals...
Dr Mark Anthony Jones is a Specialist Sport and Exercise Physician consulting in Wollongong.
Dr Jones has a vast amount of experience in sport and musculoskeletal injury. He is currently the team doctor for the Australian Senior Men’s Football Team (“the Socceroos”) and the Head of Medical Services at Football Australia.
At IOH Dr Jones provides:
- primary care and musculoskeletal injury Specialist consultations for work-related injuries.
- Employment medicals: preplacement, periodic and exit
- Statutory Driver, Commercial Driver and Trucksafe medicals
Dr Jones also consults in other locations and books some services directly:
- patients seeking sporting or non-work related injury consultation
- an employer/insurer looking for IMC, IME or WPI services.
Dr Vicky Salinas
General Practitioner

Dr Maria Victoria Salinas or Dr Vicky, as she is more fondly known, is an experienced General Practitioner with special interest in Occupational Medicine, having received her Master of Science in Occupational Medicine from the University of Manchester consulting in Wollongong.
Dr Vicky has a demonstrated history of working in different industries:
- Mining (Coal and Heavy Metals – Above and Underground)
- Petrochemical, Telecommunications, Postal Services, Waste Management, Transport, Wholesale and Retail Services.
Dr Vicky is experienced in:
- Employment medicals: pre-placement, transfer, periodic, exit;
- Hazardous substance health monitoring;
- Statutory Driver, Commercial Driver and Trucksafe medicals
Dr Vicky is certified to provide regulated statutory medicals including:
- Rail Category 1,2,3 for Rail Industry Worker [Authorised Health Professional (AHP)]
- CASA Designated Aviation Medical Examiner for Wollongong NSW
- MIS (Medical Inspector for Seafarers)
- Medical Review Officer (MRO) – a registered medical practitioner with both knowledge and understanding of drug and alcohol test results and (their interpretation) and substance use disorders
- NSW Marine Pilots [Authorised Health Professional (AHP)]
- NSW Coal Mine Workers Order 43 Medical [Accredited Medical Practitioner (AMP)]
- RSHQ (QLD) Coal Mine Worker Health Scheme [Examining Medical Officer (EMO)].

Grant Mackay
Physiotherapy Manager

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy)
- Master of Clinical Physiotherapy (Manipulative Therapy)
- Accredited Mulligan Concept Teacher (MCTA)
Experience:
14 years of experience as a physiotherapist providing physiotherapy across the Illawarra and in Perth, WA. Four years experience providing postgraduate training to physiotherapists.
Fun Facts:
- Keeps busy with two small children when not at work.
- Enjoys the outdoors, can be found on weekends bushwalking on the escarpment or kayaking on the Minnamurra river.
- Is an avid geocacher.
- Is one of three teaching members of the Mulligan Concept in Australia.
Philosophy:
I love working with people to understand what is important to them, and providing physiotherapy that helps people reach their goals by combining hands on physiotherapy, exercise and other treatment based on current scientific research.
Tristan Devitt
Senior Physiotherapist

Uzma Malik
Senior Physiotherapist

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Applied Science

Experience:
25 years experience in private practice, specialising in Musculoskeletal physiotherapy and workers compensation injuries.
Philosophy:
I look to identify the cause of injury and treat the whole body musculoskeletal. Aiming for complete and full recovery from injury, imbalance, and full functional recovery.
I treat all musculoskeletal injuries and have a passion for chronic pain management.
