RIIWHS204D WORK SAFELY AT HEIGHTS

Home » Training » RIIWHS204D WORK SAFELY AT HEIGHTS

Suitable for both initial and refresher training, participants are awarded a Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment RIIWHS204D and where possible the course is tailored by the trainer to meet the individual needs of participants.

Based on the requirements of the Regulations, Codes of Practice and National Standards applicable, the Work Safely at Heights course addresses the requirements for all persons working at height. The three working systems – Fall Restraint, Fall Arrest and Work Position are covered in detail, with practical application of the skills practiced and assessed throughout the course.

Legislation states that where there is a risk of harm whilst working at heights, training should be provided to prevent injury – this training does not have to be the national unit of competency.
If the measures taken to prevent injury whilst working at heights include the use of a harness, the training provided should be the national unit of competency. Therefore if personnel are required to use a harness to work at heights, they need to have achieved competency in the national unit.

Training and assessment delivered on behalf of Emergency Management Services RTO 91763
